Arsenal Away Leg Sells Out Friday, 14th Jan 2011 12:22
Town have sold their entire allocation of 9,000 tickets for the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final at Arsenal on Tuesday 25th January. The final 1,100 seats at the Emirates went on sale this morning and were quickly snapped up with queues outside the ground and the Portman Road phonelines jammed.
Ticket office manager John Ford told the club site: "The game is a complete sell-out now, with Arsenal selling up at their end and the last 1,000 or so tickets going to our fans in the first hour this morning.
"We actually received 27,701 calls on our hotline number in the first hour, so that shows the demand.
"Our allocation is 8,944 tickets for the game. They have all gone and there are supporters going on corporate packages with the club as well, so there will be over 9,000 Town fans at the Emirates."
The match will be Town’s first ever visit to the Emirates.

Tell me about it Stiffshorts. 10,000 at West Brom and now i lumped in with the Arsenal fans as i haven't got a season ticket although i have done 15 games or so this season. Hoping to get lucky with a tout!

Bluecrossy, the away goal rule DOES count but it only comes into effect at the end of extra time for example, if it went to extra time and at the end of the 120mins it was Arsenal 2-1 Ipswich, it would be 2-2 on Agregate and there wouldnt be penalties because town would win on the away goal.

Anyone going tomorrow...? Buzzing for PJ's first game. Got my Arsenal ticket on the 30th Dec via a priority letter, annoyed that I was only allowed 1 on my season ticket / customer number yet the glory hunting chancer queuing up this morning could buy 4! Real joke. Every person who attended WBA should have been able to buy additional tickets for the away leg as well as home. Injustice. But anyway....Best pub at Tower Bridge before the train into Hell?

also dont knock the supporters who turned out on Wednesday it just shows you that there are a lot of people just waiting for the clarion call we are a big club much loved for our friendliness and family spirit that you dont see nowadays Ihope that we will be sold out all of the time !!!
wark_on_water added 17:13 - Jan 14
quite right tractortrog - we all would have moaned if we only had 22,000 on wednesday and didn't sell our allocation at arsenal!! Yes it's annoying if regulars can't get tickets, but WE ARE A BIG CLUB!! What we need is a huge brand new stand/stands! What do you think? ;)

I got mine before Xmas as well (loyalty letter for high away attendance) but think people in the same situation should have been allowed an extra ticket before general sale, same as the Arsenal home game. Wont lose any sleep over it. Some good efforts at songs so far. Proper buzzed for tomorrow!!!
