No Signing Today
No Signing Today
Monday, 6th Jun 2011 16:52

Town are still waiting to make the first addition of the summer with no deal set to be confirmed this afternoon, despite a report of a signing being close earlier today.

TWTD understands that talks are continuing with a number of players but with none currently progressed to the point where an announcement is due to be made.

Elsewhere, Dagenham and Redbridge winger Danny Green, who was linked with the Blues last month, is reported to be the target of offers from Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday.

Watford have confirmed that they have accepted Swansea’s £3.5 million bid for striker Danny Graham, who was the subject of an enquiry by Town earlier in the summer.

Jas0999 - Defo agree, a few more days is no harm. In fact, a few more weeks is not a disaster, contrary to what many ppl are saying. I'd rather see suitable signings being made rather than panic signings, most posters on here would soon rip into PJ if quick signings ended up being bad ones! Can't win.

Town are aiming for a promotion challenge next season, we have a promotion winning manager who will no doubt be out there as we speak looking for the players that can make it happen. Yes, we are all anxious at lack of arrivals, but it doesn't mean a thing yet, not for a month or so at the least. It has been quite quiet in the transfer market so far, even for Leicester and their multi millionaire owners with Sven in charge for instance! Norwich have been busy, but then again, they have £90m in the coffers and need to buy players so they are fairly prepared for the Premiership, very different scenario altogether to us...

Do not panic, the transfer merry go round is only just starting!!!

I don't think that this headline would make it on Fleet Street.
What about Fergie and her latest attempts to sell herself and connections?
Can we sign her on a performance basis?
Or is this just another past-their-sell-by-date horizontal heavyweight story?

Kieron Dyer said on Twitter he had a good meeting, suppose that could mean anything though. Anyway there is no panic we just need to make sure we get the right players not Keane stricken, fans pressure panic buys!

Given the absurdity of our pre-season transfer foray so far..this has to be the funniest update yet!

My mum used to say "no news is good news"

When I say "used to say" it's because I haven't heard from her for 18 years!

Phil. How about a headline , No News Is Good News.

Or maybe just No News.

We cannot let any more players leave now, including Wickham until we get some replacements, whatever names are thrown in the air , it is going to be hard enough to replace McCauley, Norris and Bullard. !!!!!!!!!

This is what happens when you take news from the EADT! I read their article - they were just trying to make news and sell papers

Different day ... same old ....

I really now have the feeling that players are not attracted by a move to Ipswich Town any longer.

Will we get anyone in of note? Looking less likely. Damn, it's depressing supporting this team.

Now the rumour mill even has it that Fulop wants out if we are unable to sign any replacement players.

What odds on PJ walking by Christmas at this rate?

O well, we still have enough players to have a half decent 5 a-side team for pre season. Don't panic yet! Clegg and jewell will pull something out of the bag soon. Keep the faith!
