![]() Tuesday, 7th Jun 2011 20:55 Town continue to be linked with a bid for Cardiff City striker Michael Chopra. The Blues, who former manager Roy Keane targeted last summer, are again reported to have made an offer for the 27-year-old former Newcastle and Sunderland frontman. Late last month, Town were understood to have turned their attention towards Chopra, having had a £2.3 million offer for Doncaster’s Billy Sharp rejected. Cardiff, who recently sacked manager Dave Jones, were believed to be waiting until the appointment of their new boss to make a decision on whether to allow Chopra to leave with a bid of £1 million said to have been lodged, although some sources have suggested that the Welsh club are looking to recoup more of the £4 million they paid Sunderland in July 2009 with a fee of £2.5 million mooted. More recently it has been claimed that the Welsh club could allow Chopra to leave even before the appointment of Jones's successor, perhaps with Town becoming impatient regarding the situation. Elsewhere, Watford’s Danny Graham, linked with the Blues earlier in the summer, has completed his £3.5 million move from Watford to Swansea, signing a four-year contract.
