Wonder who the last Ipswich player in an England squad was - Richard Wright I'd guess? Think Stewart and even Jamma(?!) came close.

Good news for him personally, but I doubt this does much to prolong his stay at Ipswich.

Hopefully the phone call has been made to Richard Wright and we can get him signed up in time for Tuesday. He is available, he impressed in training, he's an Ipswich lad and surely he realises he can only earn realistic wages these days so let's get him signed up.

The problem we have now is that we will all have one eye on the Fulham games from now on, hoping and praying that Schwarzer does not get injured.
Stockdale has done us a big favour, also we have done him a favour to get him called up in the England squad. I am sure Clemence was not watching James yesterday !!
Let us hope we can get a decent back up to sit on the bench soon.

At the end of the day Stockdale is an Ipswich Town player for this season, and will only get called back to cover injuries.
Stockdale's performance against Bristol is not the reason he has got called in to the England team.
Fulham see Stockdale has a replacement for their number one that is the reason he signed a new 4 year deal and they will want him to play as many games as possible to gain experiance.

Fulop and ALB

PJ offered ALB a 2 year contract and nothing to Fulop
Fulop would have left for free at the end of this season anyway so us letting him go for free has saved us between £500,000 to £1 million in wages for someone who was only ever going to sit on the bench at best or even play second fiddle to ALB.

ALB cant be too bad then if PJ has offered a 2 year contract he only offered 6 months to player he was not sure of

Still think we should have offered Murphy a better deal but even so would we have kept him with a chance of Prem football from Q.P.R.

Not sure of the reason for Wright leaving but think it was his wage demands know he got plenty of stick from the crowd in his last season before injury but the season before was one of our best performers.
If his wages are not too high then yes short term but feel we need to look for a new number one and two and PJ has a year to do that in

Good for him. Not so good that it only leaves ALB - a very poor keeper.

Another clanger by Green today, our singing yesterday not far off the mark, 'Stockdale Englands No 1'.
I honestly believe he could make the difference between a good and a very good season.
Did anyone hear him on talksport this week, he was confident of us winning promotion this season.

A very good young keeper and hopefully will fulfill his loan period. A pacey centre half is a must and a solid right back. With the right attitude and commitment the playoffs are a realistic goal. Come on YOU BLUES.
