Keane Linked With Icelandic Move
Keane Linked With Icelandic Move
Monday, 5th Sep 2011 10:03

Former Blues boss Roy Keane is in the running to become the new national coach of Iceland, according to reports in their newspapers this morning. Keane has been out of work since being sacked by Town in January.

The 40-year-old, who was in action for Manchester United at the Masters Grand Final yesterday, is said to have already held talks with the Icelandic FA and is set to watch Tuesday’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Cyprus in Reykjavik.

Former Crystal Palace and Reading boss Steve Coppell and ex-Sweden manager Lars Lagerbäck have also been linked with the position currently occupied by Ólafur Jóhannesson but who leaves the role next month.

Can't believe Roy is receiving this treatment, Roy tried his best here but it didn't work out for Roy and Roy has moved on.

Sorry for a moment I thought I was Jas0999.

Roy.

I don´t think he could do much worse than our current manager, 1-3 points from the last 15 or so games, but I don´t think there´s any truth in the story that Roy Keane or Steve Coppell are being linked with the Iceland job, it´s more likely that we´ll have a simultanious eruption from Eyjafjallajokull and Kalta volcanos than either one of them coming here. 7,9,13

If Keane takes over he's first game incharge should work out as Tesco AFC.

Reading these comments, it's clear that people are deluded. 1-7, 2-5, 1-4, 2-4, 1-5, 0-3; just some of the results PJ has delivered in the past 11 games! Oh and beaten by Nortampton as well! Roy was rightly sacked, but how people can be pleased with what PJ has delivered recently is beyond me.

Apparenly Iceland are doing quite well these days. Didn't they steal loads of money off our councils? Would be the ultimate kick in teeth if the paid Roy the boy with that. Only a rumour anyway me thinks!

Their Banks crashed, now the football team will crash with one almighty bang and the same as the Banks, it will take years to repair the football team.
