Hospitality Offer at March Fixtures
Hospitality Offer at March Fixtures
Thursday, 8th Mar 2012 14:45

Town are offering a special hospitality package for the Burnley, Middlesbrough and Barnsley home games this month.

For £60 per person (inc VAT) supporters can sit in an executive seat, receive a programme and enjoy a pre-match Portman Pie in one of the hospitality suites, as well as warming up with tea and coffee at half-time and post-match.

To book seats for any of the games above, call the Town’s sales team on 01473 400594 or email sales@itfc.co.uk.

Fans of Town’s Portman Pie can help it retain the Hospitality and Catering News Best Pie League that it won last season. Details of how to vote can be found here.

So, just to clarify, that's a programme, a pie, and a cuppa for about £30?

Wow, bargain.

If you say a programme a pie and a cuppa accounts for around £8 you're paying £22 for the benefit of a place to hang out before the match for quite some time, half time and after the match. With no queues, your own fridge, TV and waiter service (assuming we are talking abour boxes in the Brittannia stand).

That's actually pretty reasonable value. One day I can see myself getting a box there for family and friends I think.

erm....doesnt it say £60 per person?

I'm not sure we're talking about boxes here, just "executive seats" with the chance of going underground in the Britannia before and after the match. Who the hell wants to watch football from a box, or from an executive seat either, for that matter?

Steve, I think you're right. If people misunderstand what the deal is there's going to be some very dissapointed fans when they turn up at Portman Road expecting a box for £60 and they just get 'an 'excutive seat' Don't you just love modern market tecniques!!
Also in agreement with the above, football is a sport that should be followed from the stands and not from (as the Dark Lord once said) The Prawn Sandwich Brigade, who live behind a glass screen, where the 'real' atmosphere of football is in their world of tax deducting corporate hospitallity.

That photo makes what is a wonderful pie look like a dog turd in pastry.

There are executive seats at the front of the upper tier in the South Stand. These are around £45 if bought on match day, with no extras

So the pie, programme, somewhere to hang out etc. is more like £15. Still not a bargain.

Its not just a programme - it's an Ipswich Town matchday programme

Its not just a seat - It's an Ipswich Town executive

Its not just a pie - Its a mouthwatering Portman Pie.

Do they do vegetarian ones?

Very good Bergholtblue!!

Who would want to miss out on this amazing offer AND get to watch a vital 'who can finish in the top 13' clash...against the superstars of Burnley or Barnsley. I wonder if I still paid the £60, whether they would deliver the pie and programme, so I don't have to drive all the way to Ipswich to collect it ;-)

What's the price for a season ticket holder to take up the offer.

Over to you Phil?

What a bunch of idiots you are. If we are talking about central section tickets, they are about £40 for a match ticket. So, an extra £20 for a pie, programme, what sounds like as much tea/coffee as you can drink and some comfort at half time is pretty decent, if you ask me. I'd do it as a special treat.

And for those moaning about whether this applies to season ticket holders, why not ask? I often move my season ticket to take a couple of kids/friends (in fact have just done it for the Peterboro match). They'll probably charge you the difference between your season ticket and these standard seat prices.

Anyone who thinks £20 for a pie, programme and tea/coffee is a bargain, can come round to my house for a full English Breakfast anytime : that will be £95.

SuperFranz - I will undercut Daleyitfc and offer a full english breakfast for £90 and included in that price will be a stadium tour of the Romford Greyhounds track and a free bet worth £2 (bet offer does not include trap 1,4 or 6)

What people don't realise is that the key benefit is that you are not mixing with the common rif-raf that sir in the cheaper parts of the ground.
