Former Blue Tamás Priskin netted the winner on his debut for Alania Vladikavkaz as they won 1-0 away against Town's 2001 UEFA Cup foes Torpedo Moscow this afternoon.

The Hungarian international struck in the 25th minute of the first promotion play-off group game as the Russian season got back under way after the winter break.

Priskin's Blues contract was cancelled by mutual consent in January and he joined the second tier side soon afterwards signing a three-year deal.

Thought he worked hard and if he was playing more often could have notched some goals. He was in a squad that lacked morale and nobody shone in that era! Good luck to him

Lets face it none of the clubs he went on loan to, wanted to keep him. I dont know enough about the russian leagues to comment on them, but water finds its own level....coyb

Who would have thought in 2001 having finishing 5th in the Prem, that 11 years on we are 'aiming' for an improvement on finishing in the top 13 in the Championship ggrrr! Still, I think the good times are just round the corner...
