Den Bosch Game Confirmed
Friday, 15th Jun 2012 11:55

Town’s second Dutch-based pre-season friendly against Den Bosch has been confirmed by the Blues. As revealed by TWTD last month, Town will take on the Eerste Divisie side at their training ground on Thursday 19th July (KO 7pm).

Town also took on the 's-Hertogenbosch-based side last summer with goals from Tommy Smith, Jason Scotland and Tamás Priskin seeing the Blues to a 3-1 victory.

Tickets for this year's game, priced at €5, can be purchased on the gate at the 3,500-capacity Trainingscomplex, which is at Jan Sluytersstraat 50, 5213 XS/ 's-Hertogenbosch.

Two days earlier, the Blues face Helmond Sport in the first pre-season game of their 2012/13 preparations.

Meanwhile, Town’s U18s will take on Kirkley & Pakefield away on 14th July (KO midday) and Ipswich Wanderers away on 25th July during their pre-season.

A list of Town’s other pre-season friendlies can be found here.

5 Euros for a friendly, which seems about right.

ITFC are charging £14/£15 for our home friendly for adults, which works out at 17/18 Euros at current exchange rates. I thought Clegg said he would learn lessons after the friendlies the last two years about high prices putting people off coming?

Totally agree Mark.

For the first time I can remember I will not be attending the home friendly due to the cost. I have attended these matches for years even when there were two matches.

After the dreadfully low turn outs of last year and the year, before Clegg assured supporters he would look at the pricing of pre-season friendlies to encourage a greater attendance. So instead of paying £15 again he wants me to pay £14!! I'm afriad not Mr Clegg.

Raymond Van Barneveldt will be happy with this! Regarding the price 'issue' the club have put on an excellent offer for families, iv seen so much negativity from some that the club has lost its traditional family ways, well the kids go free is an excellent promotion in my book, if 1 adult takes 2 kids it works out to be £5 each. I really can't see how that can be complained about. The club deserve alot of credit for this.

Information on Nicolay Schrøder's loan-deal in Norway with the club Frigg...
I talked to their managers a few weeks back and he told me Nico had taken a "break" from football, and is now working as a tilt-guy at a foodshop in Norway.
This might mean he'll retire.
Never thought he would break through anyway

....... before we worry about such trivia - let's get some signings done so 'they' can benefit from playing with 'their' new team mates !!!! - some hope of that happening I guess.

Botesdale Blue - proves Clegg is totally out of touch with the Supporters - and may I suggest everything else too - and does he care ? - NO.

Although he will try and swing a few by standing with them at the odd away game - BIG DEAL.

We visited s'Hertegenbosch by chance a few years ago, and had a tremendous time. We meant to stay overnight and ended up spending the whole weekend there. It's a lovely and welcoming little place, a square full of cafes and music, and the people remembered Town and their team in the glory days.

Forgive me if I'm stating the blindingly obvious, but the game is being played at a different venue to last year. (Isn't that right, Phil?) Don't want anyone who has had a little too much refreshment turning up at the De Vliert stadium hoping to see a match. See ya there! PS: Don't miss the Hieronymus Bosch museum if you have a spare afternoon. Weird!
