Drury to Miss Colchester Clash
Tuesday, 7th Aug 2012 14:38

Midfielder Andy Drury has been ruled out of the Blues’ final pre-season friendly at Colchester on Wednesday due to the calf problem he suffered at Southend last Tuesday (KO 7.45pm). The 28-year-old missed Saturday’s 3-1 victory over West Ham due to the injury.

Lee Martin, who was rested at half-time against the Hammers having missed much of pre-season with a thigh injury, is in the squad, along with midfielder Cheick Kourouma, whose signing is still being held up by red tape.

Town are likely to start with the same XI which began Saturday's match against West Ham.

Former Blue Tom Eastman is likely to be in the Colchester line-up.

Fans travelling to the game are advised to buy tickets in advance and to use the free shuttle buses to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Would've liked to see him alongside Luongo but happy that Hyam will get another chance.

2-1 Colchester, sorry not pessimistic ,just realistic. We are no longer a force to be reckoned with ,just an average, mid table Championship team, we are going to have to accept that unless a REAL big money takeover happens ,can i see that happen ...NO .HOPE WE WIN .COYB

its nothing to do with red tape, its probably that Clegg keeps spelling player's name wrong,.

Jesney:

Jason Streatham? Is that the South London version of Jason Statham?

We could do with some of that red tape in our defence, nothing seems to be getting through that.

I hope the dithering doesn't mean we shall lose the guy - he looked very very useful when he came on on Saturday
