Daryl Murphy ipswich's number 9! I'm guessing 6 is saved for Bramble, Khumalo or Veseli. Funny to see Chops down in number 28

How come Frank's 35? Is that a good "CL4CK" number?

My Guess is number 6 Either Veseli or hope beyond hope Stearman 12 going to Dyer or Khumalo. I love squad number day its so much fun guess the missing numbers. May be chopra should be 66 as I recko the odds of him getting a decent move is about 66-1

Dyer? Surely you mean Bramble ;)

I doubt Dyer would want 12, he always prefers 7!

Is 6 being held back for Fibreglass ?

I would have loved to see Chopra given number 78 or something! Would liked to have seen Nouble number 9 and Hyam number 8. Presume number 6 will be one of the centre backs coming in.

@kozmik - number 6 is being saved for Stearman! ;-)

So, plenty of fine numbers left. Maybe looking too much into it, but feels exciting.

Is there really anything to read into these sorts of things? Perhaps there is interest around the traditional 1 to 11, but beyond that?

Must all the young lads have numbers from 30 onwards when there are so many available numbers in the 20's?

Have we lost all hope of getting Stearman N'Daw ? or are we playing a waiting game.

For Chopra having the number 10 taken off you and being "demoted" to number 28 is going to be a kick in the nuts! - MM doesn't mess about does he.

Number 6 is being saved for a new signing. Could we actually start the season with Numbers 1,2,3,4,5 in the pitch? don't see that very often

Assume Frank likes the number 35 so no need to change, same with Hyam. Some players like to stick with a number.

18 players listed before the young guns start number 30 upwards, with one of those chopra!! must mean 3 or 4 signings or loans before end of window. 2 centre backs a right back, and the final position all depends on chopra. Cmon u bluuueess.

Can't wait to see how many Chopra 28 shirts are sold

I think Chopra chose 28 after losing number 10, 2+8 = 10. Most players have favourite numbers and when theirs is taken they usually pick numbers adding up to the favourite number. That's why players go for the higher numbers. I wouldn't read too much in to Chopra having number 28 it just means he lost number 10 and isn't the favoured starting number 10. But that is something we already knew.

Let's get the new season started! COYB!

that's a poor looking squad if I'm honest. As Martin Allen says we're a team with no quality we're just a team of players who work hard. Even with hard-working players I can see this season being a struggle

Chopra Should be 365

I would read everything into Chops going from 10 - 28. It is a statement that says 'you're a disgrace to this club, but there is a tiny opportunity for YOU to make amends' Will he take it? Doubt it, love to proved wrong, but I doubt that'll happen too.

can you have a squad number -1, just a thought!

If 2-5 are the back four and you have Edwards (Right) Anderson (Left) and M & M up front then 6 must be another midfielder alongside Skuse.

Leadbitter, Bullard and Bowyer really worked didn't it?

Or would you rather see Fabregas, Rooney, Iniesta and Suarez???

I see a hard working championship squad with a very good manager at the helm.

Decent looking squad in most areas now! Tabb and Taylor on my shirts for me! Many sencible numbers, COYB!!

BlueVelvet added 12:47 - Jul 18
as I've been saying, Paul Taylor is out of favour at No. 26. A lot of missing low numbers means more likely to arrive. Good to see no. 28 is allocated to Chops. In USA the no. 28 shirt is often unallocated in honour of past playing 'greats' - is Chops one of these - he certainly isn't one of the current playing greats, unless playing the roulette or black jack tables counts!

Also, don't think we need Stearman or N'Daw anymore, with Veseli coming in (about same quality for free), and some great players who play center-mid already- Hyam, Tabb, Skuse ect. Maybe target Stearman next season for a championship win, or maybe in the prem? Optimism doesn't hurt ;)
