First team 'proper' squad of just 18 players. Surely reinforcements on their way? Definitely someone at no6. maybe a 3rd keeper for no12?

No 6 could be for Berra as it would appear we have made him an offer .

Even the squad numbers make more sense under McCarthy.

I expect at least three new arrivals before the window closes, hence the gaps in the lower numbers.
Strange that Paul Taylor is listed so high? Although i have high hopes from him come the middle of the season, i doubt MM will risk too early!
But would love to have been a fly on the wall when Chops was told he had lost his number ten! that would have been a wake up call surely.....one massive kick in the Gonads!

Nice to see Chopra given the number of goals he still owes us from last year.

After 10 was taken Chopra went for his IQ I think.

taylor was 26 last year so i assume as he didnt play many games due to his injury will juts stick with it and try to prove he deserves a lower number

Taylor was also number 26 at Peterborough, so presumably it has some significance for him.

No number 6 means MM is CERTAINLY expecting a new CB to come in, and that he's gonna play a big role in the team. Berra or Bramble..?

Delighted to see Murph get #9 shirt!

A clear signal that MM sees him as an out and out striker. Lets hope he can make that spot his own.

Pleased with what MM has done this summer and that's just to date, but can't help feeling we are just short on the goals up front. Murphy and DM are handy and will chip in with a few but certainly not the ratio of Campbell for example and won't get near 20. Alan Lee who went away, pissed us off and now is back was the last striker to reach a credible goals haul over a season, think it was 17, but how long ago was that?

Agree with Umros, i believe Taylor will not play a part until mid season, MM still wary of playing him too early, one more quality striker would really help, we could really do with a 20 goal striker of DJ,s ability,
Other than that we have assembled a cracking squad without spend on any transfer money, one very wise manager! only MM could have achieved this, and the bonus they ALL wanted to come here, so much for PJ,s excuse that we were in the widerness for players to want to live in Suffolk!

I think grafters and no superstars is a way to get out of this division. If you take Cardiff, Southampton, Norwich in past seasons I saw these in that type of mould, it didn't do them any harm. May not happen overnight but I think we will all be a lot happier as this season develops compared to the previous few!

still gotta get my new away shirt, but when I do i'll be getting Chambers printed on the back. Has to go down as one of jewell's better signings, plus also really engages with the fans, which goes a really long way in today's money orientated game.
