Town and Charlton Accept FA Charge
Wednesday, 4th Dec 2013 16:01

Town and Charlton will not be appealing an FA charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

The charge relates to the melee late on in the 1-0 victory at the Valley on Saturday which led to yellow cards for Frank Nouble and Michael Morrison.

The clubs had until 6pm on Thursday to contest the charge but a Town spokesman told TWTD that the Blues would not be launching an appeal, while Charlton have announced that they will be taking the same approach. Both clubs are likely to receive fines.

Ha agree with backinbeige, mighty entertaining right in front of us 2500 town fans! Also think we played it up a little, to waste a little time which proved useful!

Also, as a side note, the charlton fella was most at fault. He practically pushed Chambo head first into the hoardings on purpose.

Haven't seen it, but it just shows how close and tight our squad is, standing up for eachother, can only be a good thing (if damage isn't caused)

Presumably another fine will follow after similar incident last night. This is not acceptable behaviour and the players should be made to pay from own pockets as brings the club into disrepute and not a good example to those who support the team. Both incidents were minor and players of all teams involved over reacted.

Have,nt the F.A. got anything better to do than make a big deal out of a handbag spat rates along side the daft bookings of shirt removal celebrations after scoring and the even more futile rule of leaving the field after treatment which strangely does not apply to goalies are they not players that can feign injury and time waste!!!!

Omg terry ball, what's up with you? It's a mans game! Sometimes there's a bit of fire and passion and it goes ott! It happens. I'm glad they've got a bit of fire in em to be honest. Its reassured they care and that they feel Town and their teammates are something worth fighting for and defending. Man up or start watching badminton ffs

Not sure I'd pick frank as the man to start on, he hardly looks like the BFG

There were a lot of players involved in the melee at Charlton but only Big Frank was booked on our side. probably because he ran the whole length of the pitch to get involved, the fastest he had ran all afternoon!

Disappointing to see an almost identical incident at the end of the Blackburn game also, maybe another fine coming particularly as these incidents happened in consecutive matches.
