Thursday, 19th Feb 2015 19:46

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer has confirmed that Town are targeting out-of-favour Rovers striker Luke Varney.

“There’s a possibility that could get done,” Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph when quizzed on the loan deal.

Varney, 32, is expected to join the Blues in time for Saturday’s home game against Reading.

If ME walks away. We are finished.

Let's not forget that ME is a blessing. Sure, he came in with no football experience (And Simon...Yuk).

If ME walks away we are screwed.

Sure he came here with no football experience (And Simon...Yuk) and in hindsight he has employed some bad managers (Stand up Mr Keane) but lets not kid ourselves we were in administration long before ME

The only way that ME can walk (but why should he) is to pass on or sell the debt.
He know it was going to cost £m`s every year until promotion, that was the risk he took.
But whilst I agree money has been spent on rubbish my reply was really aimed at the comment that we could not fund the likes of Bent.
Within the current structure we can if ME chooses to,subject to ffp which of course is a totally different matter.

I'd love to have signed Bent & Ince but don't want to spend money we don't earn in revenues. This is what got us in the financial mess we are in.

Varney winner tomorrow!

Spanish Archer, think you will find that FFP is being diluted in the future, and with sanctions only nominal could explain why most clubs are not adhering to it apart from ITFC
