Luton Town manager John Still has confirmed that the League Two side expect to sign released Blues striker Jack Marriott later this week.
“He caught our eye when we went to watch Ipswich reserves play, in the Conference season,” Still told Luton Today.
“He’s quick, sharp, strong and we think the best years are still coming for him.”
The 20-year-old made his one start for the Blues in the Capital One Cup and came off the bench twice in the Championship having joined the academy as a schoolboy.
The one-time Kettering youth player spent several successful spells on loan with Woking in the Conference while with the Blues and also had stints with Gillingham, Carlisle and Colchester.
Marriott's release by the Blues was confirmed earlier in the week.
