Hyam Starts But Nets Own Goal
Friday, 11th Dec 2015 21:52

Blues midfielder Luke Hyam made his first start in 11 months for loan club Rotherham United but scored a first-half own goal which ultimately saw Blackburn Rovers to a 1-0 home win over the Millers.

Hyam, who was later applauded off by his temporary club’s fans when he was subbed on 68, inadvertently headed Craig Conway’s cross past his own keeper in the 31st minute.

The 24-year-old, who is with the Championship's second-bottom side until January 23rd, had previously made two sub appearances for the South Yorkshiremen.

Hard luck Luke. Good to see him get some decent minutes under his belt.

At least he was applauded off, not jeered at. Hope to see you back at PR soon Luke

Hopefully see him back soon at PR. Way better than other midfield options we have on the bench.

....... always has preferred to pass the ball sideways or backwards - seems as if this was a little too far back .. !!!

Sorry Parr, Tabb. My previous comments do you a disservice. You are both good enough.

Better player under PJ than with ME - maybe another player not playing to his full capacity due to Mick playing him too deep alongside Skuse?

Hyam has plenty to improve on, and ability to go far if mental strength is there..

He could really help our league position out by scoring against the opposition. Our only loaned out player in the same division.

Surely Hyam should be in our squad over Giles Joke?! Get him back and joke out

Having watched the highlights of the game it seems Luke was getting forward a fair bit. that mentality could be key to him getting back in our side, hope to see him in a Town shirt again soon.
