Douglas in for Hyam at Bolton
Tuesday, 8th Mar 2016 19:10

Jonathan Douglas replaces Luke Hyam in central midfield in an otherwise unchanged Town side facing Bolton at the Macron Stadium this evening (KO 8pm).

Hyam drops to the bench, while Cole Skuse (toe ligament) and Daryl Murphy (calf) aren't fit enough to return.

Bolton include former Blue Liam Trotter and one-time Town trialist Lawrie Wilson in their starting XI.

The Blues will be in their orange third kit with the Trotters wearing a special dark blue kit to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Burnden Park Disaster in which 33 fans died.

Bolton: Rachubka, Moxey, Feeney, Spearing, Clough, Osede, Davies, Trotter, Pratley (c), Wilson, Holding. Subs: Campbell, Madine, Danns, Wellington, Dobbie, Woolery, Finney.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Smith, Berra, Knudsen, Foley, Douglas, Pringle, Bru, Sears, Pitman. Subs: Gerken, Digby, Hyam, Maitland-Niles, Touré, Varney. Referee: Mark Haywood (West Yorkshire).

Surprising change. I've not been impressed with Douglas. Still, this team should be more than capable of beating Bolton, whilst the bench looks slightly better.

Really annoyed by this as i dont rate douglas at all.... Felt Hyam played well in the centre with Foley.

Have we only got 6 players on the bench again?

I thought Douglas was winning fans over. He's improved and scored a couple of goals. Hyam hasn't played much this season and has been injury prone which may be another reason Mick is taking it easy with him. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays both during the game.

Up in the stand with all the traveling town fans, and I can say most of us are very surprised with the change, but having said that, what do we know,Hyam may still not be fully match fit.we can only wait and see what happens from kick off.👍

Crazy decision but no surprise. Favourites always get in. Win tonight and Skuse will be in on Saturday regardless.

Very cold up here.So far so good. Two shots on target, and one in the net.Bolton are not a bad side and don't seem like a team at the bottom.Town have really dug in deep, full credit to the lads.Taken a few knocks so not sure who will be out in second half.Thats it,now off to get a hot cup of tea.

Aaaaaaargh. Not again with the "favourites" nonsense. Last year's "favourites" were Tabb, Hunt, Ando, Skuse. We now mostly agree Skuse is good when fit, and the rest? Nobody moans about Berra being a favourite. Unless he has a bad game. Or Sears. Etc. He just picks what he thinks is his best team on the day. But what does he know. We're all brilliant at football management.

Douglas doesn't do it for me should be Hyam every time.

That's taking 'one of our own' too far, Hyam is trier but, I'm sorry, Douglas is a far better player
