Kenlock Back But Blues Otherwise Unchanged
Saturday, 19th Aug 2017 14:12

Myles Kenlock returns to the Blues side for injured skipper Luke Chambers as Town face Brentford looking to extend their 100 per cent start to the season to five games.

Kenlock will be at left-back with Jonas Knudsen moving into a makeshift central defensive pairing with Jordan Spence. Cole Skuse wears the captain’s armband.

Town boss Mick McCarthy again fields all four of his strikers, while Dean Gerken and Bersant Celina return to the bench having missed the 4-3 win at Millwall having been unwell and Flynn Downes is also among the subs having been absent for the trip to the Den with a calf injury.

Brentford make three changes from the team which drew 2-2 at home to Bristol City in midweek with Jota, who has been strongly linked with West Ham, absent from the 18.

Town: Bialkowski, Iorfa, Spence, Knudsen, Kenlock, Skuse (c), Ward, Waghorn, Sears, McGoldrick, Garner. Subs: Gerken, Celina, Rowe, Downes, Nydam, McDonnell, Woolfenden.

Brentford: Bentley, Colin, Dean, Jozefzoon, Yennaris (c), Maupay, Watkins, Mokotjo, Sawyers, Dalsgaard, Barbet. Subs: Daniels, Bjelland, Egan, Clarke, Vibe, Archibald, Westbrooke. Referee: Oliver Langford (West Midlands).

Go go power rangers. Just score more than them and I'm certain we'll win

Happy with this in the circumstances. Let's just go for it and play Brentford off the park. With exception of Bart and Skuse this is one of the more athletic sides we have had for quite some time coyb

To clarify reference to Bart he only mentioned because he is not a fast outfield player. Sorry for ambiguity in first post

should be winnable ,I think we have some fire power upfront now. Think McCarthy has taken on a more positive approach , hope it lasts .

Concerned about this
One. Brentford are a fast raiding footballing side in a false league position. Two dodgy defences so another high scoring game on the cards. Scuse needs to bite into the tackles from the start. He was poor in the first half at Millwall.

We are patched up. Let's hope we have the scoring boots on again. Twitchy about this one
