Knudsen in Denmark Squad
Tuesday, 13th Mar 2018 11:14

Town left-back Jonas Knudsen has been named in the Denmark squad for their friendlies against Panama and Chile during the international break which follows Saturday's game at Bristol City.

Knudsen, 25, has previously won two full caps but none since joining the Blues in the summer of 2015.

He was a late call into the squad for their World Cup qualification play-off with Ireland in November - which the Danes won 5-1 on aggregate - and will hope to impress manager Ã…ge Hareide enough to win a place in the squad which travels to Russia in the summer.

Denmark host Panama at the Brøndby Stadion on Thursday 22nd March and then the Chileans at Aalborg Portland Park five days later.

Only 24 in the squad there, so must be close to getting a WC call up - good luck Jonas

Certainly deserves a call up, a very passionate footballer and loves the club, overall has been strides beyond kenlock this season. Always feel he needs to relax on the ball, always seems to panic, dont know whether that is instructions from MM to go back to front ASAP. But its so frustrating as i know he has decent ability.

Excellent. Well deserved for the hard work he's put in and the improvements to his game.

Denmark are no mugs and Mick has no say in this, so surely - although I admit to a bit of Scandinavian bias - this shows Knudsen is a decent footballer.

Can only be good for him, playing beside Christensen

Good to see! He's a very good defender! Would love to see him get a chance at LCB maybe next season if/when we have a reshuffle of the pack.

Another defensive player getting a call up. Great news for Jonas and indeed Bart, well earned.

Had to be an upside to putting on so many defensive displays ! At least we have a couple of other teams to support when England implode in the group stages once more.

Always good to see a Town player getting picked for his country, but Bendtner is also included so they can't be that good.
