Knudsen in Danish Squad

Blues left-back Jonas Knudsen has been named in the Denmark squad for their UEFA Nations League game against the Republic of Ireland and friendly with Austria during the international break.

The Danes take on Ireland in Dublin on Saturday 13th October, then they host the Austrians in Herning three days later.

Knudsen, 25, who has won four full caps, will meet up with the squad following Town’s weekend game at Swansea.

We beat the Norwegian side 7-0 on this day, and held Real to a goalless draw away having beaten them at home - but not, sadly, by 7. Poor old Iván. You’ve got to feel for the guy, haven’t you? He doesn’t seem to be doing a lot wrong, in fact this was probably his best game. But he just gets no luck in front of goal. Quite the opposite in fact. This time it was an almost unexplainable save that denied the Spaniard.
