Lambert Set to Be Confirmed on Saturday Friday, 26th Oct 2018 14:25 Paul Lambert will be confirmed as Town boss on Saturday morning at 9am ahead of the game at Millwall. The new manager will watch the match from the stands with Bryan Klug in caretaker charge. It’s likely there will be a press conference with Lambert, 49, who is expected to sign a three-year contract, early in the week, with Tuesday currently pencilled in. The new manager will meet the players and existing coaching staff at Playford Road on Sunday. The deal is believed to be all but done but Town won’t make the announcement today with legend Kevin Beattie’s funeral taking place this afternoon. Lambert is set to bring two members of staff to Portman Road to work alongside him, who we understant will be Stuart Taylor as his assistant and Jim Henry as fitness coach. Ian Culverhouse, previously Lambert's assistant at Norwich, is not thought to be part of the team. Former Limerick manager Taylor, 43, previously worked with Lambert at Aston Villa, Wolves and Stoke, while Henry was on his staff at the Potters.
