Town’s game at Oxford United will be played on Tuesday 14th January (KO 7.45pm), the club has confirmed.

The match, the Blues’ first ever competitive visit to the Kassam Stadium, was initially scheduled for November but was postponed due to international call-ups.

Tickets for the game are already at the general sale stage and go back on sale on Monday priced at £24 for adults, £17 for seniors aged 65-plus, £16 for under-22s, £14 for under-18s, £10 for under-13s and £6 for under-sevens.

Northstandveteran added 13:02 - Jan 5 😂 my mates who were all several years older than me pushed me over the fence and I got stuck as the gates opened 😂 Do you remember Llyall coming down the steps, seeing thousands of town fans rush toward him then legging it back from whence he came smellmycheese? I think town fans also held the record for most people stood on a dugout 😂

Facefacts added 15:14 - Jan 6 This midweek only became free when Oxford won their FA Cup 3rd round tie without needing a replay. The clubs should have announced that they were looking to pick this midweek, but that it was depending on Oxford's 3rd round tie. With tickets already having been sold for the original date that only gives just over a week for people who bought tickets to make their travelling arrangements. So, no advance rail tickets, only full price off peaks. Could've been handled better.

ITFCsince73 added 19:50 - Jan 6 One of the best Town teams ever NSV. I remember Newcastle at home. Keenan's 1st as manager, I believe. And of course the last home game v Brighton. Where 80% of town support made there way onto the pitch at full time.

Ah the wonders of the ageing process 😂 We'd all gone to Bristol city just before that. Lost 2-1. Steve Whitton scored a consolation goal in the last minutes as I recall. I remember being the only person in the away end cheering.

Make sure you give it a good hour to get to the ground from the station though - went with a Bristol Rovers mate last year and it's a good 30-40 min slog on the bus from the town centre...
