Wish we'd had a bit more notice for this if we want to make arrangements to travel to the game.

Obviously the club thought we better arrange this game quickly to take advantage of our great form of late.

Can we just put the three points in an envelope and post them to Oxford?

This was surely planned a few weeks ago - pending a FA Cup replay
Why was the possible date not communicated before?

Hopefully the Fleetwood home game will be given a little more notice

Does anyone know if the tickets bought for the original date are valid for this date? Or do we have to purchase new tickets?

Oxford away 1992.

One of my best moments being a town fan.

I got Craig Forests glove that day.

Jon Wark and Shakey Milton signed my Plymouth ticket in Jacks cafe a day or two later.

I was a very happy 17 year old with dreams and aspirations.

Gate opened to allow us to all run on the pitch and celebrate promotion. Wouldn't happen now. Great moment. Fell to floor and got trampled in the stampede but didn't care : we were promoted.

😂 my mates who were all several years older than me pushed me over the fence and I got stuck as the gates opened 😂

Do you remember Llyall coming down the steps, seeing thousands of town fans rush toward him then legging it back from whence he came smellmycheese?

I think town fans also held the record for most people stood on a dugout 😂

Seems a bizarre scheduling. Out of Form and requiring January reinforcements and we look to play a rival so soon.

One of the reasons this game was called off was because of giourgio not being available, another pointless cancellation that broke up the momentum.

Shows how low we have fallen when we are so worried about playing the mighty Oxford........but it is a reality :(

Love the comments from 92! I was also running on that pitch! That away end was soooo full! No mobiles in those days, trying to call home with news and finding a phone box! Ridiculous

O for those days again!

I agree why next week? Our form is shocking

They have had a couple of their star performers recalled from parent clubs. Who had been on loan.
The original postponement was lucky for us.
Arguably the stand out performers in L1 1st half of the season.

This midweek only became free when Oxford won their FA Cup 3rd round tie without needing a replay. The clubs should have announced that they were looking to pick this midweek, but that it was depending on Oxford's 3rd round tie. With tickets already having been sold for the original date that only gives just over a week for people who bought tickets to make their travelling arrangements. So, no advance rail tickets, only full price off peaks. Could've been handled better.

And to think Lyall put that team together with buttons and loose change he found down the back of the sofa!

I suppose that was a time when managers made teams not money.

Got tickets for me and my son to the original fixture, but he is away at Uni now and can't get there. Anyone know if we can get a refund?

One of the best Town teams ever NSV.

I remember Newcastle at home. Keenan's 1st as manager, I believe.
And of course the last home game v Brighton. Where 80% of town support made there way onto the pitch at full time.

Yes, it was Brighton at home last game wasn't it 73!

I incorrectly said Plymouth in my first post.

Ah the wonders of the ageing process 😂

We'd all gone to Bristol city just before that.

Lost 2-1.

Steve Whitton scored a consolation goal in the last minutes as I recall.

I remember being the only person in the away end cheering.

@facefacts. Actually I've just managed to get my train return advance from London to Oxford for just £13.40! Make sure you give it a good hour to get to the ground from the station though - went with a Bristol Rovers mate last year and it's a good 30-40 min slog on the bus from the town centre...
