More fool Sunderland for not giving us more allocation and thereby making more revenue

I don't understand why we haven't been given more for both matches. Sad that a number of fans will miss out.

Great effort by everyone going!

Superb support! Definitely feel like it would have been in Charlton's interest to give us another 1k

I followed the blues under Robson, the support then wasn't a patch on this. Yes we used to go to Norwich and the fa cup games, but the new breed are better louder and travel better than we ever did back in the day

Bazza, isn't that extraordinary…we were the best team in the country under Robson, and now we are mid table in the third division and we have better support. But I agree with you! It somehow means more in this quest to re-establish ourselves, and I hope for all those great supporters that we will succeed. (Wycombe was a magical night out, especially that last goal!) 😄

good work, I don't think we've ever taken as many to Sunderland away- maybe the 1st game of the season 01/02 ?
At least we won't be singing the garden shed song at these 2 grounds.

I love that headline picture. The reason we all love football captured in one moment.

Bazza, I agree.
PR was often like a library. Robson called us ‘zombies'.
It was a bit better under Burley but now the songs are better, louder and kept going for longer. I think when Celina scores it would be great to take our shirts off and wave them around in the air, Sunderland won't know what's hit them , although they can be a noisy crew. COYB

Sunderland were always the noisiest bunch in our London Branch darts matches. Same when we played football against them. Great fun too.

Its amusing that the noisiest ones are also the ones that leave the ground early when we're behind, or refuse to applaud the players off if we lose. It's that difficult time in life when being an ultra/superfan is the ambition, but going through puberty means they can't handle their emotions if the result goes against us. Clap at Pompey, clap at Wycombe, but refused to....and abused those who did at Plymouth. Silly boys. I guess we've all been there. I had no doubt we'd sell out at Charlton...Sunderland I wont believe until I get there. Remarkable effort when you see where we currently are in the football world. Belief is growing, but Sunderland wont give a hoot about us. We need to silence them on the pitch and expose their current fragility. If their 30,000 give them backing, we'll not get a word in. We have to start fast on Saturday.

I was at PR for a home game against Sunderland in the late 70s. It was predictably quiet and one of their supporters turned to me and said "Christ! If we had a team like yours you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think!"

I suppose in the 70's and 80's it was all boring and predictable when we kept winning all the time. 😊😊

I don't understand why we've only been given 2,000 tickets for Sunderland when there are going to be at least 15,000 empty seats.

Over 3k for a Tuesday night game at Charlton is superb. Im lucky enough to be one of them, but getting tickets for away games is hard graft if your not on it early enough. Should be a top night!

@Allezlesbleus I'm pretty sure we have completely filled up the away section at Charlton, it's just over 3k which is what we have sold. There literally isn't any more room for further away fans, I see Charlton's crowds hover around the 14k mark (small time club who used to pinch our best players!) which leaves plenty of empty seats in the home stands though ;) we've all had to put up with a Leeds/West Ham fan sat around us at PR when we've played them let's be honest. I know it's not the same though.
Sunderland I can only imagine will be a stewarding/police restraint which is in place, they probably have to pre set a cap on how many officers they will need etc and aren't expecting many clubs to bring more than 2k, hence the cap. It will be something along those frivolous lines!

@chepstowblue Are you sure it was abuse at the players. I went and didn't see/hear any abuse towards our players. The ref on the other hand got the very least he deserved both at half time and full time!
