Thursday, 4th Jan 2024 18:13

Town’s games at home to West Brom and away at Millwall have changed kick-off times due to live Sky TV coverage.

The Baggies’ visit on Saturday 10th February will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm, while the game at the Den will now start at 8pm.

Town’s next two league games at home to Sunderland, on Saturday 13th January (KO 5.30pm) and Leicester City Monday 22nd January (KO 8pm) had previously been announced as on Sky.

I despise Sky so much..about time football clubs put the supporters first & told Sky where to shove it.

Europablue….not for at least 4 years they won’t. As the new deal signed with the Premier League in Dec 2023 states clearly…(And if promoted would apply to ITFC 25/26).
TNT have exclusive rights to Saturday 12.30 KO games.
Sky will show every Premier League game live outside the Sat 3pm blackout. All these fixtures, including what day and KO time will be decided by Sky.
Sky and TNT have paid nearly £7Billion to set the rules…..

Our record on SKY this season has been mixed (indifferent as my late dad use to say). We usually end up drawing though won the first 2 games, personally wish they'd stay away but that's the price of some sort of success I guess.

Surely Town should offer to reimburse International customers signed up to watch full matches if they don't live in an unsold territory? With Sky showing a large amount of games now, this means they've paid out (potentially a years fee) but now will watch far fewer matches than they expected when originally signing up

I am old enough to be really p1ssed off about this, Sat 3.00pm, set your life to it.

How can you be expected to organise your life around the random caprices of Rupert Murdoch's avatar? When am I supposed to start drinking, how am I supposed to get to the other side of the country, or Norfolk by 12.30 on a Sunday?

When do you expect Sky to GAF if people continue to pay for the very service that means games are played at any tie of day or night just to feed the desire to watch as much football as possible on the TV.

You can please some of the people some of the time......

First thing I'll say is I'm a fan of the 3pm Saturday kick off.

However, I live in Orkney. My choice of course, but this enables me to watch the games. I don't have a firestick and clearly I live in the UK so Town TV isn't an option for live games, for most of them anyway.

I'm confident other Town fans around the country who can't get to games feel the same way.

On a separate note, I was walking on one of our beaches on NY day and noticed a bloke with a Town hat on, had a lovely chat with him. Small world eh.

Is 5 weeks enough notice to change the KO date for the WBA game ?
Have Sky announced for all of February ?

From 24/25 Sky will broadcast 5 EFL games per weekend so things will get worse next year, as someone who goes to 80-90% of Town games and has never had Sky I wish they would just FO.

Our wonderful start to the season caught Sky out. Showed Sunderland as they expected a tanking. Otherwise we would have more games already.
I agree our record on sky although better still isn't great.
Wonder how Bobby's teams would have faired, but even then Town nor favoured by bbc
