Former Boss McCarthy Lined Up For I'm a Celebrity
Friday, 27th Sep 2024 15:32

Former Town boss Mick McCarthy is being lined up for this year’s I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, TWTD understands.

McCarthy, who was in charge at Portman Road from 2012 until 2018, is currently without a club having left Blackpool in April last year.

McCarthy would become the third Town figure to join Ant and Dec in the jungle following Kieron Dyer and Jimmy Bullard.

The 24th series of the show is set to take place in Australia on dates yet to be announced later this year.

Good luck to him.
He did the best he could with what little he was given when he was with us, very much like the game show except presumably he was not required to eat insects and various testicles at Ipswich.

I could see him winning it.

The more I think about McCarthy, the more I think how he was probably the best would could have, but also that he stayed longer than was ideal. It seems he ran a very professional operation but could be a bit of an 'Elon Musk' when shooting from the hip when frustrated with the fans. His style was effective, but dull - one up from our previous owner.

I'd just tune in for the eating challenge...

Will be a yawn fest but anybody who watches this drivel should find his colourful personality a sheer delight :)

Maybe its just me - But it will be golden TV to have him on there.

Forget the football, he has got a decent sense of humour and won't take any sh1t - Good combo for that show

Are there any other clubs that can boast two former England managers, one having won it, and three former players or managers on IACGMOOH?

This is a major surprise. Other than for myself, I cannot imagine anyone who would despise this type of moronic dross more than Mick Mccarthy. Tv for the mentally challenged.

That wont end well, for someone! I don't think MM is the kind to take any crap from some youtube influencer or wanna be model/actress/singer bimbo type. Add to that some lack of sleep and food and he's going to be excellent entertainment for the 2 or 3 days before he gets "asked to leave" and escorted off by security. I'm in - quality entertainment which is why they would get him on!

Tired format, tired and starving "celebrities" and dwindling audiences - should be the perfect fit for Mick.

I wonder what obscene amount of money they are paying to entice him on to that drivel. Then again I suppose he hasn't
nothing better to do at the moment.

God almighty. Who actually watches this dross? The producers really are scraping the barrel now, Mccarthy will bore the axxe off everybody, contestants, film crew & audience. Doubt there's much truth in it anyway.

He's not going to match the Milene Klass showering in the waterfall scenes I suspect
I think this could be funny - McCarthy will either be a tedious obnoxious tw@t or quite good with his honesty and bluntness aimed at the talentless cockney bellends who tend to be put on these shows.

T62Oldboy - he might not enjoy insects, but I think would enjoy any hoofs on offer + chewing on bollox!
