Season Tickets Up 10 Per Cent Thursday, 24th Apr 2025 12:00 Town have announced that season ticket prices will increase by 10 per cent for the 2025/26 campaign but with the cost of an under-12s seat frozen.
An adult ticket in the lower tier of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand, Sir Alf Ramsey Stand or Cobbold Stand will cost £419 as opposed to £381 this year, while an upper tier ticket will be £551 compared with £501 currently.
With the Blues set to return to the Championship, season tickets will cover 23 games as opposed to 19 in the Premier League.
The renewal window opens at midday on Wednesday 30th April before closing on Friday 30th May at 5pm.
Season ticket numbers are currently at around 21,000 with that figure the upper limit and seats are only available to existing holders as it stands. Should that change, the club will announce further windows and prices, while details regarding the introduction of a waiting list will be made available in due course.
Chairman and CEO Mark Ashton said: “The incredible support [manager] Kieran [McKenna] and his team have been given over the last few years has been clear for all to see and is something which has been noted by opposition clubs both home and away during the course of this season.
“We will attack the 2025/26 season as one, as we always have, with everyone at the club extremely grateful for the continued support.
“We are pleased to have once again been able to freeze season ticket prices for all supporters under 12, making football accessible to the next generation.
“Our prices for adult season tickets have been among the very cheapest in our division during each of the last two seasons and, while a small increase will be applied for the 2025/26 campaign, we retain our commitment to making attending games at Portman Road both affordable and value for money at a time of rising costs in so many areas.”
Season ticket holders who use the interest-free Direct Debit scheme will not need to do anything with their tickets renewing automatically unless cancelled prior to 5pm on Tuesday 29th April. An FAQ is available on the club site.

Although I will keep my season ticket 10% bit like everything else here in rip off UK nothing ordinary folk can do wages go up 5% if your lucky. Personally think 5% is ample but there you go

"small increase" 10% is not small. Mr Ashton looks like he is slipping away from the reality that we have to live with.

It's about £16 a game for me. Could not knit it for that.

This seems fair enough to me, as it does to the majority, though clearly not all, of the posters.

Roughly 20% more to sit in the same seat to watch the same league than was 2 years ago. Only pay for 2 and comfortable so can handle it, however sad to see reaction that others have made. Some people might be buying for whole family. Costing £100s more at a time wages stayed the same and cost gone up. You can argue for both cases, more money coming into the club should boost the squad but also paying more money for a league lower after facing 2 years of trebble interest rates increases will clearly effect some. No we didn't have many increases the years before but there would have been riots if they had when we were mid table league 1.

Speaking to my arsenal and spurs mates. If we got anything like their pricing then I would complain. Some of their tickets are extortionate. Admittedly you expect ars to win most weeks (not so much now with spurs). But I still prefer supporting a local club with it's high and lows. Hard to forget the feeling this time last year when we finally got promoted after all those periods of mediocrity. Hopefully get another crack at it next year. Happy to pay the increase. Follow the town up and down.

I think Ipswich's prices are fair, so long as 10% rises do not start to happen every season. I find it sad when Premier League clubs, already awash with TV cash and paying huge wages, hike prices of regular supporters. Many fans struggle to find this money, earning in a year what a top level footballer may earn in a few days.

23 GAMES instead of 19 games, =20%plus increase in games to attend, therefore think 10% increase in season ticket a bargain.

All this 23 games instead of 19 etc please remember we had 23 games last season and dropped to 19 in the PL without any discount so it was a price hike this season as less games! So we are going back to 23 but paying 10% extra for being relegated.

It's a price rise quite simply. Most of us will bite the bullet and pay up in this world where prices are rising in almost every department. We all may have to make savings in various ways, but an ITFC season ticket is just not something you can economise on. Maybe drink a bit less beer?

I don't mind the increase in season ticket, we're still cheaper than most! I saw a few weeks ago that Macclesfield Town released their season ticket pricing, £378 for an adult ticket, was the most expensive admittedly but still! I was paying that for Section 6 North Lower in the prem, they've just been promoted to the National League North!! The thing I do mind however is the increase in food and drink prices every season. They were already extortionate enough a few years ago, but every year they go up. The quality is okay but it's not Michelin Star dining! Going to Bournemouth away opened my eyes a bit, any food item and any beer/cider for £10.00 which saved you a couple of quid at least. Make the drinks prices more reasonable and the fans will arrive earlier, which means selling more beers in the ground and also spreads out the crowds a bit and stops everyone getting there 10 minutes before kick off and causing mayhem at the turnstiles.
