I am not overly excited by this but he has the experience so we must gte behind him if he is going to be our next manager - Look at one of our previous managers being a Naarrwich player and look how that turned out - could be a Royle2 in disguise!
Just got home from a nearly 600 mile trip from Exeter. Agree Edwards was the stand out player for me. Definitely a work in progress - good to take a point at the end Blackburn did command a lot of the game. Freddie doesn't always get the credit he deserves, excellent cross for our first goal. Hope Wolfendens injury isn't bad Roll on the Carabao cup so I get a local game to watch - don't forget guys it is 8 years since Adam Stansfield died when we last played Exeter - lets do him and our club proud
I am not a huge fan of Mick but always get behind whichever manager we have - he has brought in some fab players and a few donkeys along the way - how many managers would have been able to what he has done with the resources he has been given. I totally understand the annoyance of the poor tactics at times but we are not managers - we have to support him and his decisions albeit some are poor. If we get on his and the players backs anymore we will end up in deeper dooodoos. I am a firm believer that grass aint greener always on the other side - but remember he has saved us from League 1 when he took over for which I am eternally grateful - ok we may need a new manager to take us back to where we should be in fighting for the play offs, but with the resources I don't think there is a dynamic manager to do that at present - if he does go I pray we don't regret it
Well what a season - personally I am proud of what we have done this year - so much better than being in a relegation battle - very optimistic about next year if we don't make play offs MM we trust and he has brought the good times back - thank you Mick
I echo a lot of people have said - great optimism about this season - great signings and Jack for the future. I cant wait for the new season and what it shall bring
I have been an Ipswich fan for nearly 40 years - and have been so impressed with MM with what he has done so far - and here we have a couple of more signings that didnt get strung along keeping us fans waiting for news - as previously said on other forums - BANG signed - and no media hype beforehand. So good to see a manager do his job so well Well done MM on this and our other recent signings Would love to see an upset tomorrow - COYB!!
Its ok Marcus - i understand - was laughing at fife'blues comment thats all - am cheesed off too and will be avoiding my footie mates for as long as possible!
I cringe whenever i see the video of it being sold on ebay - but have the pleasure in remembering when we hammered scum u in the 70's. We have to trust Jewell - i didn't like him before we appointed him but he knows what he is doing - he has limited resources to deal with - and when the new signings come things will change - time is a wonderful thing and we have to believe. We will all get a ribbing at work etc about the result but no-one has died etc
That is not polite - been supporting ipswich for over 30 years so i think i know what i am talking about - and you have to laugh at it - at least it aint 9-0 this time - chill!
I agree we are not playing well - but i hope the football league look at the disgusting referring and failures of the linesman in these events - anyone would get downbeat when decision after decision goes against you - but thats when you need passion - martin should not have been sent off - and funny how their player doesn't get sent off for challenge on delaney - i am so not liking the name ferguson so much now!!!!!
