Young Blues Win at Chippenham
at 16:49:46

Car in the shade bubbled up to a nice 33.5! Not sure what temp it was on the pitch. Something close to bloody hot. Good to see two drinks breaks in each half and a good use of subs, Town team in 2nd half much better at moving the ball on the ground. Hard yellowing pitch with a few undulations didn't help. Chippenham put up a good fight and played some good football, didn't deserve to lose TBH.

I wouldn't be too upset to take a look at their No7 either. Good touch, quick, liked running at the left back, Hammond and October glad to take a break! Created a number of chances which their CFs squandered with aplomb!

Young Blues Win at Chippenham
at 16:22:26

Despite all the moaning about a young team, it was great to see town playing down in the SW. Hard match for a small Ipswich Town XI against a strong a willing Chippenham team. Ward took his goal well and looked a decent player in the last 20 mins.

Crowe needs to get some kicking practice, not up to scratch and most amusing !

Mings Misses Chippenham Return
at 16:02:09

Just back from the Game. TBH not sure what the moaning is about, at town XI it was advertised and a TOWN XI turned up. The 30+ temp didn't help and a very spirited Chippenham Team and their bad mouthed keeper (who we should sign for the entertainment, and he's half tidy with the gloves - not that we tested them too often)

On a hard pitch and a 'MICRO' sized midfield the bouncing ball didn't help our game as we struggled to get the any service to the front line, Marriot never got a sniff. Chippenham huffed and puffed and a late free kick deflected on to the bar looked for a moment to have won the game for the bluebirds but stung into action Town broke down the left and a well finished blast from 10yrds was enough for the long trip home to Ipswich to be that much sweeter with a win an lessons identified for Kennedy.

Need to get this bunch is some 'Horse Sh**' and put a few inches on, too short and lacking ideas.

Young number 7 from Chippenham looked best player on the pitch (Lawrence played ok in the first half before being rested) Both our keepers need some kicking practice, as much as Chippenham need shooting practice. A half decent forward would have had 3+ goals against us today.

That said, BRILLIANT to see Town just 2 miles from my home, even it was a young team. Even better, I never get the chance to see the young talent on the way up, and yes I think they are on the way up too! Well done lads, lost £5 on Marriot not scoring, well done to the lads, I for one had a great couple of hours.

Crown 425 - of which about 200 mostly Local Town fans. Well done to those who travelled (nutters)

Stearman: Tough Blow For Wordsworth
at 09:46:02

Like all Town fans, totally gutted for 'Woody'

I had much the same injury when I was younger when I fell from a bridge, I went on to recover well in my twenties trained with Olympic level athletes and completed a number of competitive decathlons, with the High Jump and Pole Volt my top point earners !! I also did the Triple jump in other competitions - I didn't once feel my back, not for years . . . It's not so good now though !!

The better he looks after it in the next 6 weeks will ensure he'll be fine, but as we don't know how the bad the fractures are, or indeed where (? disks 4/5/6) - I was horizontal for 6 weeks bed rest but was fine to walk about if I was allowed, which I wasn't. Good discipline and a better physio should help

Good luck lad, can't wait to see those corners hitting blue attacking shirts and not the first defender !!

Cressy "partly or FULLY? to blame for a number of goals this season" - I'd say it's the 6 players in front or the 3 to his right that's been the issue, indeed the one behind. Personally, I think the team's to blame. Picking one out is cr@p.

all sounds good, I hope he settles in and gets to like it here enough to stay a bit longer than the 3 months of the initial contract.

I'm sure he can give cover for both central defensive positions? I'm sure I've read he can cover the back central pair ?? Correct me if I'm wrong !!

Town Target Crawley Striker
at 16:13:48

Journalistic short straws being provably plucked and thrown into the air with the same panic stricken actions as a club sitting in the bottom 4 and unable to secure the right players to get them out of this mess ??? I think so, but hope I'm wrong.

Some good news please . . . . after all, who's not on PJ's list ? (i.e. Owen etc)

Ok moaning about the state of the Transfer market but it's the same for all clubs, and dare I say it, there's plenty of movement elsewhere.

I'm sorry for PJ in a way, but have no such sympathy for Cleggy. Get the players PJ asks for if you have the backing of ME. Simple I would have thought.

Second Bid for Portsmouth Duo Turned Down
at 10:11:05

How much did we pay for Priskin and let him go on a free, actually how much in player values have walked from this club without a fee in the last 3 years?

£2.1 million for these pair should make pompey think again, someone will pay that and I hope it's us.

He certainly didn't learn from the first mistake, i.e. the initial ban. Stupid idiot, could have killed someone !! Suspended Sentence cr@p, should have hung him out to dry as an example to the kids that look up to him as a professional footballer. Rant over.

Wabara Has Big City Future

Hope Recce has the same impact at RB, and CB cover, as Aaron Creswell has on the left. I believe Recce is more defensive minded than Aaron and will add more 'iron' at the back. Fingers crossed.
