Philander, Mohammed Asif, Bhuvi Kumar, Mo Abbas are probably the most recent guys who've had excellent to good careers bowling predominantly in the upper 70s. Philander especially was also excellent in Australia. |

It's a beautiful little city, with great Balkan bbq restaurants, Cevabdzinca Galatasaray being a particular favourite, the owner used to play for Galatasaray & is lovely fella, the walls covered in football photos of his career..very well priced grub. Its not very lively in comparison to Zagreb or Belgrade in terms of nightlife and decent beer but enough for 3 days. The local wine is pretty good, if you could manage an extra day or so Mostar is absolutely stunning..we managed to fly in there & out of Sarajevo with wizz a couple of years back. |

So interesting how people see things, I love his work rate, protection of the ball. Thought he was average today. We'd need to spend a fortune to get a better n9 tho! |

Disappointed not to beat that shower of urine, but would you swap their position for ours!? (Still in N****** shadow mentioned at the end of the game) Clarke was our MOM... Love Hirst but that is the place we could improve in January.. We played well, onwards and upwards. |

If I could be so bold to add to this, being somebody far afield (maybe with their feet in the Indian Ocean and a cold lion beer on the go) and unable to get their sodding virgin Media to work even with a VPN on a crappy chromebook.... A watery channel would be amazing. I know Gav & Phil don't want them posted but if someone more clued up on these matters could PM me a link I'd be eternally grateful. COYFB |

Very sad, 'The British' a bit of work everyone should look up and maybe consider their current position. RIP BZ |

Absolutely love the Island, been three times (twice to watch England test matches) & went back 2 years ago to see the bits I'd never got round to.. did 6 weeks backpacking. I was on my todd so just used trains/busses & tuks, cheap, cheerful and relatively easy. In six weeks you could pretty much see the lot. If you want to head east (Trinco/Arugam Bay) leave it till late Feb/ March as still wet around the turn of the year but the weather on the rest of the Island will be good. Negombo is overated but decent place to get acclimatised for a couple of days right next to the airport. Kandy down to Nuwara Eliya/Ella (get the train, stunning) is a must. The South coast from Dikwalla (Hiriketiya Beach is beautiful & great for surf/swimming) to Galle is superb, include Tangalle & Mirrisa (whale watching). Bit more Russiany in Hikkaduwa and the East coast back to Colombo but still nice. Dirt cheap safari in Yala and Udawalawa. Golden triangle of Sigiriya (climb Pidurangala before dawn for best view) Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa (plus Dambulla) very cool for temples and ancient guff. Balls, I'll meet you out there!! |
