I heard this term on Radio Suffolk on the way when they were interviewing Glen Driver the Leiston manager and thought it’s something we are not doing well. We seem to have lots of possession around the halfway line or in our half, but we really don’t move it into the next third in a constructive manner. We seem to pass it sideways a lot and then try a 50m wonder ball that on most occasions just gives possession back to the .pposition. It’s not just today that I’ve noticed it, it’s been happening quite a lot recently.
what the turnout was from Town supporters yesterday? I was stuck in a seat on the right hand side and couldn’t really judge how full the rest of the stand was. Steward told me before the game they were expecting around 3000 but I wasn’t aware we’d sold anywhere near that number.
Thought he was great today but picked up an injury late on that meant he swapped places with Chalobah for the latter stages. Looked like he could hardly walk on one leg. Has there been any comment on how bad an injury it was?
I do wonder what some people watch at the game sometimes. He’d clearly been struggling for a few minutes when he miskicked the ball into touch, only for it to be greeted by a load of groans. The poor guy was struggling to stand on the leg let alone kick the ball!
