I think Mick might go back to 5-3-2. Can't see McGoldrick starting again, has played 90 minutes, 45 minutes and 90 minutes in our last 3 games, so might be time for a rest.

Bart
Iorfa Spence Chambers Knudsen Kenlock
Skuse Downes
Ward
Garner Waghorn

Or, if we did go 4-4-2, something like;
Bart
Iorfa Spence Chambers Knudsen
Ward Downes Skuse Sears
Garner Waghorn

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Positive it'll be 4-4-2.

You may have a point on McGoldrick though, made of glass we need him for the season not 5-10 games.

Spence was MOTM the other night from what I hear, MM won't drop him.

He also won't get a new CB in in time.

I'd also be surprised to see Downes come back in.

So I'll go for the same XI as started v Millwall.

RIP Sir Bobby

He's got to start surely? Best and key player.

He will get a week off after this game (assuming he does t play at Palace)

I think it'll be 442. Brentford could cut us open with their 433 if we play 3 at the back. It could be the same side that started at Millwall or maybe Downes in for Waghorn and Ward moving out right?

It would be nice if this was the game that Hyam started his comeback.

He definitely wasn't. I agree he won't be dropped though, and on balance it would be harsh to do so.

Appreciate he's our best player, but he also needs to be wrapped in cotton wool. That's a lot of game time he's had recently.

What a great option to have off the bench if things aren't going our way though. Still, I think we'll have enough fire power in Waghorn and Garner to see us 3-1 up before we even think about bringing McGoldrick on....

Oh wasn't he? Don't know what everyone else was on about then!

Celina is ill, unavailable and has only played v Luton this season, so no chance he'll start him!!

I don't think Mick will want to push Waghorn too early and will probably look to have him to make an impact from the bench again. I'd personally add McG instead of Sears, but expect Mick will stick with him to A) Have McG for later & keep him fresh and b) Have Sears adding more mileage as he perhaps covers more ground

We are getting a bit close to the weekend, I would be surprised to see a new CB playing on Saturday. Even if somebody turned up today i thi k it would be too late to slot straight into the team.

Ideally, I'd like to see us playing a 4-4-2 with Celina and Ward doing some damage on the wings, but given our injury crisis I think the running power of Kenlock and Iorfa would serve us well as wing backs.

As others have said, MM is unlikely to drop MOM (Spence) in his next game. I'd prefer to see him at RB though, had a superb game but lost a few headers.

It will be interesting to see if he sticks with Sears. Thought he had a good game last time out but not firing in the same way as other 3 forwards.

From what i was told he struggled (as to be expected) with the physicality of their front two. He certainly could have stopped the second goal as well.

Not being critical, but he isn't the solution at CB.

I think MM plays Spence there as he is a footballing defender. Invariably playing with 3 CBs, one is normally good on the ball. We lost Webster, so Spence has come into that central position. However, I thought that would only be when we have 3 at the back not when we play 4-4-2. MM needs a bit of help from ME here, to help fund the signing of a new centre back with a good level of experience especially with the start we have made IMO.
