In that case we should go for that one about a girl, you know the one. It's about a girl.

The honourable thing would be to adopt an Adicts song

Maybe

- To Chinese Takeaway.

I have two difficulties with this. I don't know that song. Or that band.

I was thinking for young Trev we could do something to the tune of My Sharona. I think that fits with how it's meant to be pronounced.

I’d agree with this, despite two of them being massive Sunderland fans 😄

The drummer/singer from Snuff, Duncan, is a big Ipswich fan. They had a release suitable for Mick McCarthy era ITFC, ‘Long Ball To No One’.

I don't personally know any of the band but my mate is good friends with Monkey.

Whilst working in America matey boarded an internal plane with an Adicts tee shirt and the flight attendant instantly upgraded him to first class - Adicts are quite big in the states - especially West Coast

I've not heard him being much of a gobshyte. His music is competent and popular, and vastly better than the endless over produced autotuned rubbish which fills the hit parade these days.

Its not for me, but I think you are being harsh. An odd looking ginger lad making it in music as he has, must have something in an age of boy bands and manufactured artists.

My biggest criticism of him is that cra ppy guitar he insists on playing.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but the descriptor 'competent and popular' makes him sound like the musical equivalent of Tescos.

Do 15-year old girls really like him? I've only ever encountered late 30's/early 40's mums who like him.

Not that my social circle involves many 15 year old girls, mind.

My little one has discovered Kiss FM, so I can confirm that there are indeed many many many worse tunes out there than Ed makes and much of it is autotuned tuneless tat. For example:
