Anyone been caught up in this before?
They have just announced strikes the day we are ment to come home.
Hopefully it will be sorted and cancelled before hand. But has anyone got experience of this?
Did they sort you out with accommodation? etc |  |

Ryanair.
I once flew with them to Rome. We were delayed for a couple of hours before take off. Nothing out of the ordinary.....especially for Ryanair
However, when we landed it became apparent we were not in Rome. They had diverted an entire planeload of passengers to Sardinia so we could 'drop off' an engineer. We then sat on the tarmac with the door open, in stifling temperatures, for another hour or more, before flying on to Rome c.4 hours late.
No refreshments were provided during the detour. I asked for water and was told I would have to pay.
Not my worst Ryanair story....but one of the more random.....

Doesn't really help though.
BA pilots are striking (no dates yet) and baggage handlers and security are possibly striking at Heathrow.
So it's no longer a case of don't fly Ryanair - everyone knows that they have more chance of getting what they want by demanding it over the summer holidays and threatening to strike.
I can't imagine there is much support from the public, especially when they are turning down 11% pay rises.
