I'm gonna say maybe David Wright?

Forgot about Makin. Yeah he did well for us. Was he signed from Sunderland? Can't quite remember now!
I preferred Wilnis to Makin but Chris Makin was a decent enough option to have as well.

I think that the hope of finding the correct amalgam of Makin and Wilnis, the former for defensive qualities and the latter, attacking, was always what the manager seemed to be looking for at that time when they were used for alternating periods.

Carlos Edwards.

Precisely who I was going to say, he always had detractors and probably struggled toward the end but we'd kill for an equivalent of him for a few seasons now.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I think he won the players player of the season as a right back.

I'd have said DW too, but have really enjoyed the memory jogs re others, esp Fab - yes Midastouch, his goal for us v ManU in our first home game was crucial for us that season I believe - gave us the confidence & belief we could more than hold our own in the Prem, and we soared like eagles!

Lovely thread!

His red card against Huckerby at Portman Road was a stinger, thought it was harsh at the time although I admit I would be biased! I recall it was in the first half.

Remember that well, tangle of legs as Huckerby got across the front of him and was closing in on our penalty area down the north stand end of PR. Still think it was a harsh red but I suppose he was in on goal. If I’d been reffing it I’d have booked him for a dive for sure!

Stearman.

Who was it that he put that huge f*ck off tackle in against?

Matthew Bates, purely because he reduced a Budgie to feathers in 50% of the games he played for us.

It was a night game, so was either against Watford or Palace, i'm feeling Palace as we won that one.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

I could never understand why Parr wasn't a nailed on starter for us when he was here. Always thought he looked good whenever I saw him play. He seemed to become an ITFC utility man where I wouldn't of minded him playing week in and out. He played 41 times between 2014 and 2016, although I'm not sure how many of those 41 games were made as a starter or as sub appearances.

If we'd had kept him on we'd have done better than season and the season after. Instead we ended up signing rubbish as usual!
