Who should I vote for and why... 16:50 - Dec 12 with 2589 viewsSitfcB

#StillUndecided

Just seen that the Conservatives only need a 0.8% swing to take the Ipswich seat from Labour.

What damage?

Name each component and explain them individually.

Properly. Not just some old sh1te you think you've read somewhere.

I will name one Higher taxes = lower tax take = less money =for public services=more borrowing which got the country into the mess its in now thanks to Euro loving Blair and Brown.

50% with three hours to go on a dark, cold and wet night? Not great.

Labour spent money after years of Tory cuts to try to reverse the damage of the lack of investment.

Then the bankers like Sajid Javid who was at Deutsche Bank at the time, caused the global crash which ruined most of the Western economies.

See my post below about other European countries tragically destroyed by higher taxes, where inhabitants have to literally row themselves to work

Edit: be careful, there are FACTS in it...

Labour seem to be in cuckoo land when it comes to finances. I wouldn't want to sway you either way, but a vote for Labour will be a vote for uncontrollable spending that would put this country back 10 years.

Very well thank you. Trust all is good in the Footers household. Hopefully a landslide Conservative win will make your Christmas.

You have two choices

1) Vote for a semi-reasonable but feasible 5 years - Tory, and btw I'm not BJ fan.
2) Vote for free stuff until the money and the lights go out.

Up to you.

Neither smell of roses, but one will at least stop us from living in caves.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Depends which ward. In some areas of Ipswich it would be considered good (I was a poll clerk for Bridge ward for a couple of elections and turnout there was always woeful).

That is a very unlikely result, but I wish you the best. My mother would certainly be pleased.

And all is well, thank you. My favourite time of year :)

I hope whichever way the election goes that you are able to find some peace afterwards.

Namaste.

I'm a survivor. If JC gets in I will adjust my affairs accordingly.

If Boris gets in I will start a countdown clock eagerly awaiting the day he resigns and someone decent can take over.

Deal or No Deal Brexit will last a lot longer than 5 years. And both will be a disaster to the economy

Because finding £58k over 5 years was nigh on impossible.
Paying a a bit extra tax is not missed.

Your children's "debt" is serviced via the tax system. It doesnt show up on credit reports etc. It is literally a taxation system to pay for education, just a different one from the one you are proposing.
