I agree with that.
But is this us breaking some hegemony or actually just confirming how we don't even pretend to do technology anymore.
In isolation, there's no problem with Huawei. But our international expertise nowadays seems to be fully in the service industry where multinational banking, accounting and management consulting firms get paid for helping other people actually do stuff.
If we're looking at the future and where the UK fits in, we're looking quite exposed. We've probably got more of our economy that can be replaced by AI than anyone else in the Western Hemisphere. | |
