A post-Brexit solution? 16:22 - Feb 7 with 16059 viewsDarth_Koont

Brexit has caused a huge division in this country between Brexiteers and Remoaners.

So how to bring the two sides together when there's what one side thinks and believes going against what the other side thinks and believes?

We need to use objective facts to bring the two sides together. And discussions where facts are the currency not emotions or beliefs.

Alternative suggestions welcome.

How are the self awareness courses going?

Harry's not wrong though.

The exchange of opinions, slogans and falsehoods isn't a rational adult debate. And we deserve far more from a debate that has huge implications for this country.

He is wrong and so are you IMHO

I'll try to bring this subject up again when I have more time but I have been away for a week at a trade show and am dealing with all that sh1t as well as the impact of Coronavirus - which by the way could have a massive impact on all of the worlds product availability of pretty much everything.

Really! If you can’t or don’t want to accept the situation you have got 11 months to leave and live in your EU utopia. I am sure they would love to accept people of your superior intellect.

Problem is if Brexit is a success they will have to ask us thick gammon racists if they can come back

If it were to prove successful then none of us would want a reunion.

The point is though that some elements can't be a success, unless we consider certain restrictions to our lives a success.

You can only assume that some of the older crowd who now have what they wanted either have no interest in visiting Europe, are at tip top health or just afford to throw money at comprehensive travel insurance. And don't mind the extra paperwork required to make the most basic of trips.

Seems a shame to me and all rather pointless.

I can't see really how all of a sudden it's going to be difficult to travel around Europe to be honest and travel insurance is normally free with your bank account.

Difficult, no of course not. Just more than it was.

I was thinking along the lines of people with health concerns that would normally be covered by carrying a simple card like I say.

But he's not making it an adult debate.

Every single one of his posts is insulting the other side and calling them stupid. He's part of the problem and even if he's on the same side as you, you should be able to see it.

Once you get through passport control of the country of entry there is nothing to stop you travelling all through the EU. No border controls once your in.

I think he’s right about that. And to be clear, I’m not talking about the people who may have voted Leave but the people who still argue for it but never explain why in any rational sense.

That has nothing to do with the points about him that I have made or my post.

He calls them stupid and idiots in every single post - he admits it - that is not helping and is part of the problem. I've been clear on this a number of times. He has relevant points but his language is a huge problem.

Insulting people every chance you get is not helping the situation. You seem not think it's an issue though if they agree with your stance.

It is almost like globalism is really fragile as a reliable system and maybe greater self sufficiency is a desirable goal.

Sounds like the best idea I have heard on this forum. By the way its a footie forum isn't it? Trouble is the same ones will use it to get at the manager or the latest player fall-guy.

you two realise there is a filter button, which will give you only football posts

It has never been just a football forum.

But as always gets pointed out there are tabs for those who wish to view football only.

I do sympathise though and understand posters requesting a separate politics tab.

Ask Gav politely and maybe offer a subscription fee and see what he says.

"That has nothing to do with the points about him that I have made or my post."

Of course, why would it? I'm saying why I agreed with Harry's post.

If you have a separate issue with Harry I can't say that I've noticed his style of debate standing out as a problem. There's plenty of room for more direct and "punchier" language if there's something behind it.

And that's nothing to do agreeing with my stance. People can disagree how much they want and however forcibly. It's a lack of truth, honesty and factual evidence that offends me.
