As owners go...... 19:38 - Feb 29 with 1335 views | Chrisd | he's got to be one of the poorer ones in the history of the game. He keeps his nose out of team affairs, but by Christ how can someone keep getting it so wrong for such a long period of time? Time and again wrong decision, after wrong decision. Just woeful.

As owners go...... on 20:15 - Feb 29 with 1217 views | RegencyBlue | He doesn’t keep his nose out of team affairs though does he? You don’t really think it’s the managers who decide to sell our better players and replace them with cheaper, poorer ones, year after year after year do you? He is a shockingly bad owner and if the atmosphere at PR does turn toxic he should be the recipient of most of the grief dished out!
As owners go...... on 20:16 - Feb 29 with 1202 views | BackToRussia | Exactly. Basically, every decision he has ever made re ITFC, reverse that, and we'd probably be in the PL. Mick aside. But Mick was always a sticking plaster on what was already a bomb site after Keane and Jewell.

That’s a part of the game though. Happens at all clubs. Conversely, he’s turned down big bids for some players when the manager doesn’t want to sell. He does support his managers; they’ve all said so.

He has been badly advised and has appointed badly, and has failed to... on 20:24 - Feb 29 with 1146 views | unstableblue | ... appoint a football industry savvy CEO or sporting director.... he’s failed to put in place a technical footballing structure that goes beyond the current manager and is enduring, that ensures a Ipswich football brand can be maintained that will entertain fans and build a connection with the community. All his managerial appointments have been misguided, non technical, and non progressive. In short the club is a shambles.

As each season goes by he’s certainly showing me he’s one of the poorer ones around.

Think it has to be looked at from where he took us over too. A club with every chance of getting promoted to the PL in the next few seasons, to struggling to mount a L1 promotion challenge a decade later. And no sign of that trend reversing.

As owners go...... on 20:40 - Feb 29 with 1056 views | patrickswell | I feel for him in that to differing degrees, Magilton, Keane and Jewell failed him badly. The one time the club was in a position of strength under him was at the end of 2014/15 and he failed to give his one competent manager the funds which could have seen us go up. We started to drift as a result, the culture of mediocrity was embedded and then once managers came in who could not produce the results with inferior quality players, he and we were stuffed. As some have said, it’s a good thing he’s not a crook - because with the passivity of our fanbase we would be done for - but he has presided over the club’s most disastrous period of its history and it feels as though we are rotting from the head down.
