Is everyone going about business fairly normally still in the UK? Doesn't seem as much chat about it on here.
I feel the impact more than most in my business but it's everyone has gone into full panic mode and business is not operating anywhere near normal. Economically this will be a 9/11 style hit if it lasts until the early summer. I get the feeling no one is really being tested this side either as the gov tries to play it down in an election year. |  | | |  |

I don;t believe we did discuss it. It was my first time to see them incredibly so could not compare it to other gigs of theirs. I thought they were very good but did tend to drift off a bit from the hits etc. I actually preferred Heaven 17 that night - they were excellent. |
Yes I agree, Heaven 17 stole the show IMHO because they did what people wanted.
I think the fact that Squeeze have enjoyed some considerable success in The States in recent times it has gone to their head a bit. I've only seen them a handful of times but I bumped into a mate of mine after the gig and he has seen them about 50 times and he was of the same opinion as me. I took the wife and my kids and was expecting a good dance and sing song but didn't get it. Never mind eh, worse things happen - but see them again if you get the chance, they may have calmed down by then. |  |

London was not noticeably quieter yesterday. Still lots of people knocking about the 5pm boozers in the city.
The panic buying is a bit depressing. As that Guardian article said yesterday, people are panic buying things that are reassuring to them and it helps them deal with the unknown and anxiety but not things are actually of any use. If you really think about it, it's like panic buying fence panels when high winds are forecast. It may have a logical justification but it's absolute madness. |  |
