Anyone notice there are more cars on the road? on 19:01 - Apr 25 with 619 views | tonybied | It's been getting busier as the week has gone on here in the Midlands. I mentioned to my girlfriend yesterday that it 'almost' seemed like a normal morning on the way into work. Not been out today but the amount of cars driving up and down the street seems like any other weekend before this all cracked off! I noticed one of the obviously more caring and protective parents in the street let their 3-4 year old girl have a ride around in the road for half an hour or so earlier too (unaccompanied as well by the looks of it). Who would do that under normal conditions, let alone when we're supposed to be in lockdown. A few people around here just don't seem to give a sh*t. We have a few family's that have clearly been ignoring the rules since the beginning, having family and friends around and driving around all day. Worryingly, this seems to now be spreading more and more.

Locally, not noticed anything significant, still vast majority staying home. Few more people chatting with neigbours, all socially distant. Also read that GMP reported 50% reduction in calls relating to parties, but think that was last weekend. Today the head of the Acpo lot said that the vast majority were following the lockdown. (Heard it reported on the radio) Also tube journeys are down by around 85%. Make of that lot what you will :-)

Without a doubt, you can't stop kids seeing their parents even on bigger distances - both just need to be responsible with it

Government have said that such arrangements should remain in place. If both households are observing the rules then the only contact is between the people in the households so it's really like a single big household. SB
