Can anyone explain to me... on 14:29 - May 11 with 292 views | giant_stow | I feel for teachers in that it looks teaching in socially distanced times appears impossible and quite possibly dangerous. Maybe each half of each class will have to one day on / one day off? But I'm also becoming increasingly aware of the damage this isdoing to my only child. Not so much the lakc of learning, more the lack of social contact with people other than his mum and me. Don;t know what the answer will be, but really hope he's allowed back before the September. Mind you, even his mum disagrees with me on that owing to safety fears, so accept i could be in a minority.

Can anyone explain to me... on 14:02 - May 11 by Darth_Koont | Yes, but children aren't anything like as much at risk and they are limited spreaders too. Certainly, compared to adults who we're letting work and move around society anyway. We seem to have got this @rse about face from the scientific point of view. |

Although in that report it says: "Prof Hunter said: “Our study shows that school closures in Europe had the greatest association with a subsequent reduction in the spread of the disease. “But this study does not resolve the lack of consensus about whether children can pass Covid-19 to adults. And it does not identify which level of school closure has the most impact whether it is primary, junior, senior school or even higher education. “It’s also important to remember that our results are based on total closure, so it is possible that partial school closures could have worthwhile impacts on the spread of infection.” The key word there is association: For example, closing schools also forces adults to stay at home. And it's also a clearer indication of the seriousness of other measures and restrictions in a society. But now we're encouraging adults who are more at risk and more conclusively known as spreaders to get back out there first. That seems to be a different approach to even the countries who closed schools at the beginning.

Can anyone explain to me... on 14:08 - May 11 by DanTheMan | Well I went down a rabbit hole I wish I wouldn't have done starting with that tweet. |
I love how dozens of people chime in to correct him "well they're the exception then" not the TWO neighbours he's been watching sunbathe whilst hundreds spend the day, during work time judging and slating people they assume not to be working. Weird how those threads always attract certain types too. That thread was fairly tame from plenty I see.
