How the hell 18:28 - Jun 9 with 1458 views | bluebare | if teams cant afford to complete this season how do they expect to start next season. The selfish short sighted pillocks that have caused long term damage to the lower reaches of football the breading ground for a lot of players needed in the champ/prem/international level. Unbelievable where was the help/money from the FA EFL?

Me neither. And then we have the same problem of lower league clubs not being able to afford to open becasue of the lack of gate receipts. This saga is a long way from being over.

Fans won’t be back in stadiums until after Christmas at the earliest. No idea how clubs can expect to start next season if they can’t finish this one.

I predict another vote in July on whether the season starts or not.

Why I think they should have just let this season in limbo until it could be finished. Not that I presented my view very well elsewhere and obviously there’d be a lot of issues surrounding contracts. But the financial reasons why the season needed to end will still be in place in September.

How the hell on 19:24 - Jun 9 with 1214 views | sparks | The issue is presumably the Furlough scheme. So long as they dont play, they dont have to pay much in wages. They could have done a deal whereby all games were televised for £10 a pop on ifollow and recouped a good chunk of their losses- but still.

As was said earlier, those who won’t play because they can’t afford to play without gate receipts should forfeit the games, I wonder how many default 3-0 defeats it will take before they change their minds

The ifollow option is a way forward and most likely the easiest and more profitable option. The EFL have an opportunity to make this work but the biggest obstacle that the EFL has to overcome is....themselves.
