As anticipated, he will be leading us out next year.

Well indeed, he’s been a football manager for 15 years FFS

Ah but managing big, big clubs comes like second nature to him, so he's used to it. Aside from this season, managing a League One side and finding the pressure too much to bear. For some reason.

He's hardly going to admit to things like tinkering with the team too much is he?

You're going to have to come to terms with the fact that he's here to stay for the foreseeable, or you're going to spend an unhealthy amount of time being angry.

Dollers, for one who works in advertising and PR, you're curiously easily swayed by the tricks of the trade - or is it professional admiration?

Well, apart from those managerial stints at Colchester and initially, Third Division Nodge. Not to mention Fourth Division Wycombe...

Also - to gordon - Evans did pull the plug on Hurst fairly sharply.

Hurst paid the price for his lack of ability at taking pressers.

I'm not angry. But I won't stop calling for him to go either. He's totally clueless and bad for our club, and I'll continue to express that.

Again, you are making the assumption that Evans wants a manager who wins lots of games, gets promotions and plays good football above all else. I am sceptical about that. I think Evans was getting comfortable with mediocre mid-table Championship performance as it still got him what he wanted for Marcus Evans/ The Hospitality Group (but do not ask me what that is, I think you would have to be a top table insider to know all the ins and outs). Now that we are in the Third Division Evans has realised that the cost base is lower and he feels even more comfortable.

I don't buy your theory, sorry.

Well, in his very first one he did keep referring to the business instead of the club - I think Evans could do a 'room next door' on that one.

Indeed. And he says he's learnt from his mistakes/would've done certain things differently. All we can do is hope that's right, then support the team.

If he starts fecking up, and especially if it's repeating the same mistakes, that's the time to turn ugly.

Exactly.

It’s a fresh season, hopefully a fresh start. Healthy and fit full squad, I hope and pray Woolfenden and Downes are held on to.

When you add back (Lankester, El Mizouni, Dobra, Nydam, Bishop, KVY, Norwood) 100% fit and healthy, it could be really entertaining.

If he persists to make the same mistakes as this time around, the trigger should be pulled no doubt.

The trigger should have been pulled months ago. I don't know why you have any faith that Lambert might not cock it up this time. He's been here over 18 months and has done an awful job.
