Very misleading OP, pretty much all of the criticisms in the article are about the quality of the document not the colour, and those that are about the colour generally don’t seem to be from people desperate for a blue passport anyway

I don't know why they didn't retain the contract I'm sure. I guess it's all down to pricing due to costs.
