Because I am sure this is going to work perfectly!!! 15:53 - Jun 22 with 1989 viewskizaitfc

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/reopened-pubs-will-take-names-and-details-of-

How many people are really going to give these details and if they do are they all going to give true details or take the pi$$? How is it going to work in practise will there be queues outside each pub where someone is taking names?

Surely the better option is to ensure if a breakout does occur that the local authorities have the way and means to publish the fact a breakout has occured in a particular pub and anyone that has been to the pub should self isolate and get tested?

The best option would be to have a working track-and-trace system that could have been easily and quickly sourced and adapted from existing systems already out there in the world instead of farming out the job to your mates in big business for detail-harvesting and profit.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Oh great. If I have to give my name and address to go drinking, then I'll get unfairly labelled as a joke and refused. Just one of many times when being called Hugh Jass has worked against me.

Pretty much what I was going to say. If we're unlocking and going to be taking the route of a targeted response, we should only do that when we have a proper, functioning track and trace system in place (which should have been a month or two ago). Not have the pubs scrabbling round trying to find a half-baked, part solution.

They can't organise a piss up in a brewery, literally.

I think we now have to post a letter directly to Hancock if we have symptoms, listing anyone we’ve been near in the last two weeks .

I don't think suggesting Bloots needs a post mortem is very nice.

You'd fill the Blair role quite well.

"Lambert out, Lambert out, Lambert out. Swear down."

Think you'd be a real vote winner. If one thing demonstrates our national fall from grace in recent years, it's ITFC. Take your message to the people, Bloots!

Lambert would probably cite non-existent WOMD as a reason why he couldn't get a higher than 11th place finish in he third division.

i would have thought the pubs ,would go chip and pin . no cash to be handled . so they could trace you that way

forensic experts say footers and spruces fingerprints were not found at the scene after the weekends rows

They have done this over here in Sydney NSW and it seems to work well. I haven't come across anybody that is reluctant to provide details or is providing a fake name/number.

It allows the pub/restaurant to get in contact with you if you've been in the venue the same day of somebody who has been tested positive, so I am not sure why anybody would have an issue with it.

With regards to your questions, there hasn't really been any ques as it's unlikely 50 people are trying to get in at the same time (perhaps excluding Whetherspoons at 9am).

"Surely the better option is to ensure if a breakout does occur that the local authorities have the way and means to publish the fact a breakout has occured in a particular pub" -

What about that 1 person who doesn't catch wind and continues to go to 10 more venues in the next 2 weeks?
