He got 23 in the first Test of this series. And that after a big collapse in the Saturday evening.
I went out for a walk when England were eight down this morning expecting the last two to follow quickly. Could be crucial those extra runs especially with wickets falling regularly the rest of the day.

Broad is massive underrated. Yes never hit the heights we thought in his early years 08-12 with the bat but as a bowler and someone getting lower order runs he is superb.

Watching on TV, I think the lack of crowd has been most apparent wth boundaries - that ripple of applause is missing.
Also, at the end of a day when the crowd is a little drunk is normally entertaining.
It's going to be a real pity that Broad will get to 500 wickets, now on 497, without a crowd. I was there for Anderson's 500th and it was a great moment. | |
