I bought the iPad Air (2109) recently it's a bit more expensive than the standard one but much nicer and significantly quicker. You can add a keyboard and ios for ipad is definitely an improvement. The other upside is it is likely to last longer than the entry level version. It obviously depends on budget and what you plan using it for in fairness.
New iPad advice on 17:18 - Aug 3 with 1439 views | thebooks | The Air’s probably best value at the moment as it has the latest chip, which means it'll run faster for longer. You can get it for around £470. Buy it from John Lewis to get a free 2 year warranty.
