Totally agree. It's the usual 'We have to sign him, We have to sign him, We have to sign him' Then sign him on inflated wages to 'beat the competition' and he continues to flatter to deceive. See Will Keane and many others. Fans never learn.

I don’t think Garbutt ever flattered to deceive, he was good for us, but I don’t think we will compete with Sunderland on the financial aspect.

I would preferably like to sign Garbutt, and certainly wouldn’t want him going to a promotion rival, but our financial outlook won’t allow us to compete on this one I’d imagine.

Me too, clearly decent for this level and adds a lot. Good set pieces, cover bother left sided positions. Worth it IMO
