Tips for keeping cool thread... 06:54 - Aug 7 with 8376 views | bluelagos | Seeing as how it's going to be a schorcher today... For me, summer jacket, summer gloves, kevlar jeans and rag the tits out of the motorbike :-) Cromer fish n chips are a calling or maybe the Brancaster crab hut to avoid the crowds. How you lot gonna keep it chilled?

Tips for keeping cool thread... on 11:49 - Aug 7 by J2BLUE | I'm going to sit around all day in shorts and t shirt watching the golf with a fan on and the windows wide open. I might take a break from the fast lane with a little nap at some point. |
Bad move to leave the windows wide open. You will be letting all that hot air in. Keep 'em shut.

Tips for keeping cool thread... on 16:10 - Aug 7 with 1238 views | Shawsey | Just stick your feet in a nice cold bowl of water. Will cool you down for an couple of hours. Anybody got a hot water bottle? Fill it with cold water. Put it in the fridge, then 30 mins before you go to bed, put bottle in bed. Nice cold sheets and a cold pillow for your feet.
Tips for keeping cool thread... on 17:29 - Aug 7 with 1197 views | jeera | How are the crabs? I've just been to the local butchers here and bought a rump steak and some shallots. Bought double cream from the shop next door to that and have white wine in ze fridge. Thinking a white wine, shallot, mustard cream sauce thing with the steak, chips, tomatoes, mushroom and peas. Having a few cold ciders while I work up to it.

The biggest grief in there J2 is I ALWAYS set off the smoke alarm when I cook steak. That's most embarrassing thing. I'll open all window and doors before I chuck it on the pan but it still goes off. I would put bags over them but that's even more effort as the ceilings are stupidly high and that means getting steps out the cupboard... which are behind the ironing board thing.

Ended up in Orford. Set off for Brancaster but was so hot, we ended up stopping near Kenton. Then decided to head to Orford via a pub and finished off in Mistley. Showered and all set for same again tomorrow.

Didn't fancy staying up that way overnight? I don't even know if hotels/b&bs are open tbh. Campsites?

Had I been organised... Am off at a training camp in the Malvern Hills next week. Up early for some hill work before it gets too hot. Whether tenting after riding works, well guess I'll know soon enough. If I am home before the week is out the answer is 'No' :-(
