Lighten the mood, all time favourite player and why

Mine - Terry Butcher grew up watching a rock in defence and a real leader, love hearing the stories of old players who played with him giving examples of his leadership

Do you remember the Gillingham FA cup game - he achieved legend status!!

No what year was that? My first season supporting Town was the 1986/87 season.

Got to be Paul Mariner, but also both Johnno’s, Marcus Stewart, Frank Clarke, both Flying Dutchmen.
Too many really to really choose, just hope when the question is asked in 20 years time we have someone from this era.

I always wanted to be Paul Mariner in the playground so I'll have to go with him.

My favourite players would be Chris Kiwomya, David Johnson then David McGoldrick - loved all 3 of them as players.

All time favourite though is Warky, for numerous reasons but just an absolute all time great I was lucky to see play for the town

For me it can only be and ever be Kevin Beattie.

He was the best all round footballer that anyone could ever hope to see because he could do everything that a footballer is expected to do (except maybe play in goal)and could do each of those things ranging downwards from brilliantly to very well.
