Not only did you bring about something very much needed, you also pissed off Paz.

Obsessively following the dude and asking for the same answers to the same questions, whether relevant to the topic or not, and now sat alone thinking about him on a Friday night?

I don’t agree with Paz’s politics or views but you’re starting to look like a bit of a stalker 👀

upvote for Rashford being an absolute star, downvote for allowing another poster to live rent free in your mind.

They're 5 hours behind us time wise.

Good on Rashford though huh?

Glad he still seems level headed despite the honour and as he says, if it gives him a little more clout to continue the work then that's excellent too.

Absolutely agree. A young footballer has dispelled a stereotype and worked towards something utterly just and worthy. His work on highlighting the issue and holding politicians to task grants much respect. Personally I would have preferred the positives of the story to be highlighted without the monotonous undertone of Paz supporting X,Y and Z and not denouncing/answering/rising to the bait which follows any comment he makes in any thread.

I think the connection was that a particular poster or two voiced disapproval of Rashford's work in the summer. If you see what I mean.

Not that I wish to get too involved as I have one of them on ignore anyway as it's just easier.

Anyway, back to Rashford, yes what a remarkable young man who has put a lot of people to shame. It does rekindle your faith a bit when someone like that steps up.

I am aware of the background as you say, I’m just bored of seeing him raised at every opportunity by Spruce.

However, you are spot on. The respect and focus should remain on MR. For such a young man in such a difficult time he genuinely stood up, spoke well and with passion. Stood up for what he believed in and made a tangible difference to those in need in a true time of need.

If we just had a few leaders like that.

Mind you, they wouldn't get elected would they? Anyone with a shred of decency seems to be frowned upon by the masses for some bizarre reason.

When you consider we are a population of 60 odd million, it's amazing the low quality of human beings we seem to have representing us.

He* is now entitled to get married in St Paul's Cathedral.

I’d miss half the posts on the board if I put you on ignore sir. You don’t offend me and I know I don’t offend you but why not just highlight the positives of what MR has done in these sh1tty times rather than try and draw a reaction from a poster neither of us really want to hear from? Genuine question

I guess I find it hard to tolerate the presence of odious trolls.

Like you said, Rashford has brought about something wonderful here, but I think it's important to remember that he had to fight for it, and that there are those among us who would rather have seen these kids went hungry.

Maybe you don't agree, and that's your right, but I personally feel that that's something important to highlight, especially when some of these people seem to be on a crude PR campaign to convince others on this forum that they're a lovely polite caring chap.

No problem, we can agree to disagree (not on his views I whole heartedly agree with you there). I’m not sure there are too many people that take much (serious) notice of views or believe that’s he’s caring at all based on his posting history so why not just ignore his uneducated/ill educated ramblings

Anyway, it’s late for me and not so late for you 😁 enjoy your evening

Because you *could* choose to be the grown up and NOT rise to it?

I realise that your voting pattern makes 'adult choices' a little difficult but...

Must you always be rude to someone with whom you disagree?

Rashford is a star and deserves recognition. Too many footballers use their platform for self-promotion. Delighted he is firmly grounded.

Spruce Moose, let it go. There is nothing to be gained from being so narky and bitchy all the time. Disagree politely.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Let me guess this straight, just so I understand. Your mate starts a thread specifically to make a petty dig at me and you’re on here, seemingly with a straight face, calling me childish? Wow.
